| Sutton's Children & Young People's Plan 2008 - 2009 |
The Children and Young People's Plan identifies the needs and priorities of children and young people in Sutton and explains how the Council and its partners will work together to meet those needs over the next three years, with specific actions for the next twelve months. In particular the Children and Young People's Plan seeks to: - extend and further develop our preventative and early intervention strategies and services;
- ensure that the most vulnerable, challenging or disadvantaged children and young people are given every opportunity to succeed;
- develop still more integrated and secure approaches to safeguarding and protecting children and promoting their welfare.

| Sutton Local Safeguarding Children Board |
Sutton Local Safeguarding Children Board's main role is to ensure there are good & robust systems in place in the borough so that children are safeguarded, their welfare is promoted and agencies co-operate to acheive this. This all relies on a well informed and well trained workforce that understands the roles and responsibilities of all agencies working with children and their families as well as those of their own. Sutton LSCB provides the following annual multi-agency training programme in order to increase the knowledge, skills and awareness of that workforce. An application form is included as well as information about suitability and eligibility of each course. Any enquiries should be addressed to Linda Clark, LSCB Training Administrator on 8770 4023 |
